Andrew Stanford (Husband)

Andrew has always loved the outdoors and animals. He is passionate about soil biology and evolving land to promote healthy stewardship.

THE CREW

The crew consists of a mixture of breeds! Having both goats and sheep run together guarantees both the grasses and brush will get taken care of. The goats work from the top down and the sheep work from the bottom up.

GOATS: The “Large” goat side of the crew is a combination of purebred and mixes of Kikos, Boers, Savhannas, LaManchas and Nubians. We want a large frame healthy goat that can reach high in the tree and brush. The “Mini” goat side of the crew is Nigerian Dwarf and Pygmies. These little guys are small but mighty, doing their part to get into smaller areas under the brush line. Combined they ride smooth in the trailer and tackle top to bottom on jobs.

SHEEP: We have Black Belly Sheep, Barbados and Dorper/BBS crosses. These are all hair sheep and do not require sheering, making them a great addition to the crew.

DOGS: We currently have Orion who is our little herding dog. Orion is a mix of Mini Aussie/Australian Cattle Dog. We are training him and he is training us. Next we have the big guns, Schutz, a Kangal/Great Pyrenees! He is our livestock guardian that we bring out on jobs if he is needed. He knows his job and does it well.
